I have been banking with this credit union for over 16 years now. Long gone the days when this credit union used to be one of the best in the industry. Now it functions just like any other commercial bank. The biggest gripe I have about them is the lousy phone customer service, which went from excellent to simply frustrating. They have made it virtually impossible to speak to someone at an individual branch as all contact numbers lead to their central customer service center. No longer recommend them.

It is impossible to get someone to pick up a phone and talk to you for a few seconds. There lack of customers service has lost them our account. I go somewhere else for lower CD rate just so I can get a a question answered.

Myself and others have been voicing our opinions about recent changes in Security Service and it’s ability to provide what we want as members. Although it is still a good place to do banking business and such, it has definitely dropped in the customer service department in two key areas. Hours open especially at drive up windows at branch locations used to be 730am and really server the person who needed to get urgent banking completed before going to the office as well as the shortened and eliminated hours on weekends! Very aggravating for a lot of us. Secondly the extended hold times on phone service seems to have gotten excessive at times. We used to be provided with exceptional customer service ALWAYS. No one seems to be listening! I’ve been with you all for nearly 35 years and for the first time am considering opening a second account at a competing credit union right down the street. We want the exceptional customer service back. Please Reply. Thanks, Raymond Przybylski

I believe SSFCU should expand a little more around Texas more evenly at least not just centered in one city, I understand why because it being headquartered in San Antonio. And what about people who have been SSFCU members for a long time, move to another city but there isn't a SSFCU location there when they wish to walk in person to a location at any given day when necessary. I'm just curious on that part and I don't know much on how that would work, of course I understand there's the website to have everything online but what about when the people prefer walking into on the locations but their city's away??

I had the worse experience ever at your Kelly Johnson branch today. Stacy at the counter was extremely rude. Not happy about it. She was really nice to the customer ahead of me. Then she was really rude to me right away. Not good! We have about $400,000 at your bank. Easily moved to another bank!!! I had a simple deposit and a simple withdrawal. I had all forms filled out and all ready to go. She was horrible!!! See if she remembers a tall thin brunette
