Opened a CD to take advantage of the 1.60% interest. Had to do it standing at customer Svc. desk instead of in an office w/ privacy. Was asked for my SS two times while other customers and workers were around. When I asked what the penalty for early withdrawal was, I was told that it was 3% of the TOTAL amount of your CD and not the customary 180 days or so worth of interest. I requested to cancel the transaction and was told that it could NOT be done. It was not after some push back, arguing and my accusing agent of not -disclosing about the early withdrawal penalty that the she canceled the transaction and insisted that I give her my receipts so there would not be a record of the withdrawal from my savings into the CD and back. I found the whole experience unprofessional and unsettling to say the least.
Hell I I'm trying to find some info on a trust fund that was set up in 1998 when it was revere federal savings bank
