I wanted to change the size of my safety deposit box to a smaller one and wondered if I could be refunded the difference. I was told that not only could I not get refunded the difference but that I'd be charged for a whole new contract for the smaller one. I asked to talk to the manager (Brett Braafhart). He was unavailable so I left a message. He called back 2 days later saying he'd check it out. Eight days later he called back saying they could give me the smaller box at no additional fee. . Since there was no advantage, I stayed with the larger one for the next year. I was in the bank last Thursday, April 5, inquiring about CD rates for amounts of $1000,000-400,000. The tellers didn't know saying I needed to talk to Brett. I called him and left that message about investing that amount of money. Today is April 8 and I have yet to hear from him. I have been a customer of that bank since it was Brenton bank in 1971. I have never encountered such nonchalance with any banker. The tellers at that bank are wonderful. Without coming out and saying it, they seem to be equally frustrated. Off the cuff one of them said they've been told by him to not ask him questions. As far as I can tell, every time I've seen him in there he seems to be hiding out in his office, staring out the closed door not doing much of anything. Someone needs to figure out what is going on with him. Seems like he may be in over his level of expertise. Please feel free to contact me if you need any more feedback. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Marlys Larson phone #515-981-0869.

I am trying to find a contact person at the First American Bank in Fort Dodge to ask some questions. I cannot find a website that works for the bank. The two website addresses I've found only give an error message. Please contact me at my email address above as soon as possible.
Thank you.
