A.Officers, employees, and pensioners of the CMS Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries who work or live in the counties of Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Livingston, Mecosta, Montcalm and Osceola, Michigan.
Definition: The geographical area enumerated in counties is in accordance with a consensus arrived at during a meeting of all credit unions with a field of membership based on employment with the Consumers Power Company of Michigan on July 8, 1976. A map which depicts the agreed areas is on file with the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services.
B.Employees or members of employer groups or other organized groups which are located within 25 miles of the credit union's main office or a branch office, which office locations are authorized as:
1.525 West Willow Street, Lansing, Michigan
2.687 Capital Avenue SW, Battle Creek, Michigan.
The geographic service area is extended to include the county of Ingham, Michigan, entirely.
Each group must provide a written request for service to the credit union. The Commissioner may permanently or temporarily revoke the power to add groups under this provision at the Commissioner's discretion.
C.Members of record and members of groups being served as evidenced by the records of the merged credit union as of the date of merger of the following:
1.B.C. Consumers Federal Credit Union, Battle Creek, Michigan, effective December 31, 1996.
D.Any person over the age of 55 who receives a retirement annuity, pension, social security, or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in, or belongs to a retirement organization located in the county, or in a county contiguous to the county where the credit union's main office is located.
E.Employees of this credit union.
F.Members of the immediate families of the foregoing.
G.Organizations, incorporated or otherwise, composed for the most part of the same general group making up the membership outlined above.
H.A spouse of a deceased member if elected to membership prior to remarriage.
