Who ever set up their system got paid to ruin people’s credit standing. I firmly believe they don’t know what their doing except to totally confuse you with their way of banking. I was hacked and when I put the claim in and the fraud department didn’t believe I DIDN’T make the purchase, they believed the merchant. I finally after months, they gave me my money back. I have been over drawn many times because the balance I see on the app. Isn’t the same as in their system. I check to see if my payments ( bill pay) are posted and any debits I made are clear but yet I still over draw and of course there is an explanation which frustrates me because it makes no sense. As soon as I am able I’m closing the account. Beware Members, they really don’t know and don’t care, tell you what makes them look good. Thee ratings should include minus, because my rating would be MINUS 10
I work in BSA for another credit union and I tried calling BSCU to confirm some shared branching activity performed at BSCU for our member accounts.
The first time I called the Contact Center I was on hold for a long time (10 minutes or more) before I left a message for a call back. Of course, the return call never came in. The next day, I tried calling again and waited on hold for 20 minutes before someone answered. It was an excruciating experience.
The member service rep gave me an email and told me to send my request to an individual at BSCU.
I sent my request Wednesday and it is now Friday and I have gotten no email response. Today I called back and left a voice message with that person.
One of the transactions appears to require a CTR, which I need a copy of.
This is horrendous customer service.
I feel like this Credit Union knows how to communicate well and I love their financial tips. I am enrolling my kid in their financial literacy program.
The biggest reason I bank with BrighStar Credit Union is the rates. Always so much lower than the other banks. Although I do not live close to a branch, I can do almost everything online.
Great Service every time. Dionne actually suggested replacing the Platinum Visa card with the Educators Reward Card which gave me better benefits!
I started banking with BrightStar Credit Union after a financial seminar I attended at Young at Art Museum. I was very impressed by their willingness to educate others about how to better their finances. I have never seen anyone do this before, specially a financial organization. When I became a member, I qualified to a balance transfer that ended up saving me from high credit card bills. I am beyond thankful. Keep up the good work!
I visit the BrighStar Credit Union Davie branch often and I am often impressed by how willing they are to help me get through my financial struggles. Their customer services is always great, I just wish the parking lot was a little bigger.
My finances were always done in big banks. Until I decided to open an account with BrighStar Credit Union, at first it was just an extra account to save money. But after becoming more aware of the products and services they provided I realize I could save a lot more money inn bills. I refinanced my house and car with them and could not be happier. Credit Unions are definitely the way to go to save money.
Should be open longer hours on Saturday .. check out TD Bank!
Waiting time in bank too long. Then they still can't help you because they have little knowledge about financing or other matters related to an individual's financial needs. They are only too happy to take your money and after that they don't want to hear from you...even if you need help processing a payment to them.
Poor service, go to another credit union or bank
They have the same number for all locations, customer service hold time is over 40 minutes, the say the give the option for call back but not on every call. Also they are extremely slow about refunds. Not good service at all.
Should be able to make payments online or thru phone
your telephone systems is not very good...we get put on hold 45minutes if lucky only 25 minutes...you have tohear that music that you have played for 25 yrs..and after holding about 12 min. a recorder finally asks if we want a call back...the wait time is far tooo long you need more help on phones or better service..it is enough to make you leave BSCU..
